Sandra Lee Hallen (Shaw)
June 02, 1954 – April 28, 2022
Sandy was a woman that wore many hats throughout her life. Besides being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, her journey was ever expanding. She was a waitress, a musician, a crafter, a janitor, a fire clerk, a manager, a coordinator, a social worker, and much more. Her grandson always wondered how someone could do so many different things in one life. Throughout this journey, she touched many hearts, just as her heart was so touched by all the wonderful relationships she made. She truly lived a full life and loved so many.
Sandy’s door and heart were always open, and the coffee was always on no matter the time. She truly had a servant’s heart, always there to lend an ear or shoulder, a hug, some guidance, a good laugh, whatever was needed.
Sandy had a very creative side and enjoyed nature, camping, crafting, playing guitar, music, gardening and canning. She always made sure the garden was plentiful and loved sharing the bountiful harvest with those that had less.
After the passing of her husband George, Sandy spent the last 7 years living acreage life with her daughter Jessica, son-in-law Travis and grandson, Noah. She cherished her visits on her deck with all who came, especially her long visits there with her grandson Noah. Looking out into the ravine, listening to the birds, the leaves, and the storms. She was always on the listen for new four-legged friends in the forest.
Sandy joins in eternity her husband George, parents Doug and Bernice Shaw, brother Cal Shaw, in-laws Don and Gladys Hallen and Donna and Charlie Courchene, and numerous family and friends that were very near to her heart. Her legacy lives on through her daughter Jessica, son-in-law Travis, grandson Noah and countless family and special friends she touched with her kind heart and open spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the acreage this summer as per Sandy’s special request.
God grant me the Serenity,
To accept the things I cannot change…
Courage to change the things I can….
And the Wisdom to know the difference.
Jenn Wilcox says
Truly Sandy was one in a million. I will remember her and love her forever.
Dylan Claypool says
