On February 20th, 2024, Ruby Barry took her last breath. After a few difficult years, Ruby lost her last battle in the early morning hours at the U of A hospital.
Ruby leaves behind her only child, her daughter, Laura Lee; three grandchildren, Katelyn (Tyler), Marcus, and Payton; as well as one great granddaughter, Addison. Also, brothers, Claude (Gaylene) and Donald (Betty) Robinson; sisters, Pearle (Horace) MacNevin, Emma Robinson, and Wilma (Ewan) Stetson; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Ruby was born on her beloved Prince Edward Island to William and Vera (Baglole) Robinson. but Edmonton was her chosen home. She loved this big, little town as she called it.
Ruby was a successful Barber in downtown Edmonton for decades. She took much pride in her work, her clients who became friends, and the relationships she formed.
Ruby lived a colourful life and was always happy to have an adventure. Her determination, strength, and resilience took her far and wide. Those lucky enough to have known her, spent time with her, or even better, were loved by her, will remember her spirit.
She was truly one of a kind.
A small remembrance will be held at The Grand Manor at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, as fond memories of Ruby will be shared before she returns to P.E.I.
Many thanks to all who have given assistance and support in her care and time of need.

Jocelyn MacDonald says
So very sorry to know of Ruby passing away. She was a beautiful gal and my late husband, Ron, always said she was the greatest barber who ever cut his hair !! Knowing Ruby was a treasure. My parents Harry and Betty FitzGerald, of Richmond, often commented on how Ruby always looked so beautiful every Sunday in church. Laura Lee, your Mom was loved by many. May she rest in peace.
