It is with a heavy heart that the family of Roy Bruce Lenz announce his passing in December.
He leaves behind to mourn him, daughter, Noel; former wife, Lynn; sister and numerous friends. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his great smile and his love of the outdoors.
Due to covid restrictions, a private ceremony has taken place. Friends are asked in lieu of flowers to make a donation to the charity of ones choice. The family thanks those that have reached out and we ask for privacy at this time.
“Do not weep for me for I have not gone. I am the memory that dwells in the heart of those that knew me. I am the shadow that dances on the edge of your vision. I am the wild goose that flies south at autumn call and I shall return at summer rising.”

I worked with Roy for many years at Edmonton Exchanger and can attribute a good portion of what I learned in specific areas to him.
We had many laughs during the lunches in the board room that I’ll always remember. I know that if there’s a nice place to camp in heaven Roy is already there enjoying himself.
Rest well Roy.

To Roy and his family
I had the opportunity to work with Roy for 26 years at Edmonton exchanger. The last two years I shared an office with him. To say the least I have many fond memories of my friend Roy. He was a man that was always watching out for me both at work and outside of work. Sharing many stories and problem solving anything and everything including coming up with a formula to fill a fridge full of tanneright and blow it almost 100 feet in the air I will miss him dearly. My father also worked with Roy side by side for many years as well. From fishing trips to Prince Rupert to flying his plane with Roy I know my dad will miss him as well. Thank you Roy for who you were to us. You will be missed dearly and your memory never forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend.

My condolences to Roys family.
I was lucky to have worked with Roy for many years, the shenanigans we got into at work got out of hand to say the least, our dark sense of humor and desire for office pranks lined up and we made friends very quickly. It wasn’t long before we became close outside of work as well, weather it was camping together, fishing, shooting, or just hanging out at eachothers house, it was always a fun time filled with laughs. We were never serious while together. Roy was one of the smartest guys I knew, he always meant well and wanted the best for anyone he knew, the friends he kept around him are a testament to that. I’m glad he is in a better place where his pain cannot follow him, I will always carry with me the fond, fun filled memories we shared. He will be sorely missed.
