It is with deep sorrow and much love we announce that on March 27, 2023, Roxanna Lee Lewis of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away at the age of 62 years.
She was cherished by her sons, Ryan Lewis, Nicholas Lewis and Blaine Lewis; her brothers, Blair Drummond, Kevin Drummond, and Darryl Drummond; and her sister, Karen Doyon, along with a long list of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She had the pleasure of a large family that also included 19 nieces and nephews as well as 14 great nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her many neighbours and all of the co-volunteers at the food bank where she donated her time.
She now rejoins her son, Kyle Derek Lewis; sister, Connie Krewulak; brother, Brian; as well as her parents, Donald Drummond and Doreen Drummond.
A caring, wonderful mother who always put her children, family and others first. Food was an important way Roxanna showed her love, whether by feeding her 3 boys platefuls of the mashed potatoes they loved so much or the time she spent volunteering at the Parkland Food Bank. Roxanna was an avid gardener who took great pride in the beautiful gardens in her front yard. Many people might struggle to keep orchids alive and blooming, but she could never understand what was so difficult because hers were always gorgeous.
A family hosted celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. April 11, 2023, at Elks Social Hall in Spruce Grove 400 Diamond Ave, Spruce Grove. Seating opens at 11:30 a.m.. Roxanna will be laid to rest in Darwell Cemetery following the celebration of life.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Westview Hospital as well as the University of Alberta Hospital for the wonderful care they took of her nearing the end of her time here.

So sorry you were called home Roxanne, you were kind and genuine, a rare quality, that we all appreciated. You and I grew up in a simpler time, in a small town, where friendships were everything. Thank you for keeping me in your loop and being there in my early years at the Grove.

Ryan, Nick and Blaine. I am so very thankful that I knew your Mom, not only growing up together, but reconnecting so many years later. Although we didn’t share your growing up years, it didn’t take us long to catch up years later when we reconnected via social media. She shared so many stories about each of you and how proud she was of her sons. For more than 14 years now, we were in regular contact, whether it be through “Words with Friends” which we both loved to play, or just messaging back and forth. An occasional phone call when we got tired of typing. I had the privilege of having her come to visit me in Nova Scotia in 2014. One more treasured memory for me.
I miss her every day. Sending you all love and hugs.

Roxanna has been a great friend of mine for over 47 years.
We were each others Bridesmaids at our Weddings. We’ve had a lot of fun and a lot of great memories over the years.
We kept in touch but we didn’t always see each other in person as often as we’d liked but when we did we would always pick up where we left off.. that is a true friend!
Roxanna had a lot of friends and that is a testament to the person that she was!
She was loved by her family and friends, and that’s what life is about.. to be loved!
I’ll miss you my Friend!!
Rest in Peace Roxanna
Forever in my heart! ❤️
Sending Love and Hugs to Ryan,Nick & Blaine and the entire family!❤️

I just found out about this I met Roxanna in 2015 when she needed someone to look after her dogs while she was in the hospital. I had the pleasure of looking after Teddy and Bear on a few different occasions and Roxanna and I became friends. She was a sweet caring woman and she is going to be missed.
