With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad, Poppa and Great-Poppa, John Joseph Hickey on August 31, 2023. Complications from a stroke in 2020 finally overcame his fierce battle for recovery. He was born in Peterborough, Ontario on October 19, 1935, moved West as a young man and met and married Marilynn in Hinton, Alberta and raised a family there. He moved in later years to St. Albert which was his home at the time of his death. Patrick is survived by partner, Benya Heyse; his sons, Spencer de Jourdan and Blake de Jourdan (Josh); siblings, Robert de Jourdan (Andrea), Susan Daniel (David and family), Mary Frances de Jourdan (Tim and family), and Bart de Jourdan (Pam and family). Our beloved matriarch, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away as a result of doing what she loved – working in her garden.
