It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother on February 10, 2023 at the age of 95. She was our mentor, our inspiration and the heart of our family.
Olga was born in Foothills, Alberta and, as a teenager, moved to Hylo, Alberta with her family. She later met and married George in 1948. They settled on the family farm in Hylo, where they raised eight children. She humbly lived a life of service to her family, church and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Gaetano), Crystal (Thomas), Randal (Ramona), Selina (Guy), Dina (Leroy), Regina, Phillip, Perry (Corina); nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Margaret; sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Kathy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George; infant daughter, Selina; parents, Mike and Mary; brothers, John, Walter, and Alex; and infant sister, Josephine.
We would like to give special thanks to the Emergency Department and Unit 43 staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Lac La Biche Health Care Center for their compassion and care in Mom`s final hours.
A funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Venice-Hylo Heritage Historical & Preservation Society, P.O. Box 1136, Lac La Biche, Alberta T0A 2C0 or e-transfers to memberships@venice-hylo-hhpsociety.ca.

Dina, I am sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. I remember her kind energy when I visited. She made the best cookies!
Dina Michetti-Ehnes says
Thank you so much Karen. It was very sudden but as she wished because she was living independently in her own home until the day before she passed. And she did make the best cookies, and so many other things! We miss her dearly!
