We celebrate the life of Margaret Bernice Robinson (nee Turlock); a woman who lived her life with love, benevolence, and generosity. Margaret passed away on May 5, 2023 at the age of 82 years. While Margaret’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, she left a legacy of compassion and service to others that will live on through her family and the many lives she touched during her time with us.
Born in 1941 in Calgary, Alberta, Margaret lived a full and vibrant life. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Throughout her life, Margaret was a beacon of positivity and hope, always seeing the best in others, radiating love and kindness wherever she went. She had a deep passion for life and lived it to the fullest, always finding joy in the simple things, like a beautiful sunset or a cup of tea shared with a friend.
Margaret was a true pioneer in the field of funeral celebrations and grief companionship. Her dedication to her profession was unparalleled, and her unwavering commitment to the families she served was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a talented quilter, scrapbooker, lifelong learner, and avid reader, always seeking out new knowledge and experiences.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald; children, Anne Marie (David), Bill; cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Julianna, Olivia, and Samantha, as well as her brother, Bob. She was predeceased by her parents, Victoria and Peter Turlock; daughter, Sandra; and siblings, William, Raymond and Patricia. To honour her memory she requests kindness to others in whatever form you feel helpful.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Deville North Cooking Lake Hall on June 24 at 2pm.
Mary Anne Kuebler says
Margaret was a dear friend who officiated my sister Bev’s and my father in law Ralph’s life celebrations. Everything was handled impeccably and with decorum. She was an ardent supporter of dancefusion and once Anne Marie signed on as a teacher, Margaret was all in. She had Ron partake in garage sale scrounging, looking for props, as pre Covid props were a must for almost every performance. Hunting down odd chairs was her specialty. She made many costumes and was good at the exotic extravagant ones. I had hoped to see her in the audience of dancefusion’s 25 anniversary celebration, but I know she’ll be looking down on everyone, smiling and tapping her toes.
Thank you for being my friend.
I will miss you Margaret.
