It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of Lucille Cecelia Gunter on May 15th, 2024.
Lucy passed away peacefully with her sons by her side at the Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood Hospice, in Edmonton, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her father, Aristide Normand in 1979; mother, Regina in 1995; partner, Mike Orfino in 1993; brother, Leo Paul in 2011; sister, Helen (Bob – also predeceased) Paquette in 2023; and Leona (Len) Gratto in 2022.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Vern (Nicole) Gunter and Jason (Kathy) Gunter; grandchildren: Jordan, Jayden, Jenna, Jaxsen, Joelle, Jillian, and Vaelan; four sisters and two brothers: Yvette (Paul predeceased) Piquette, Leon (Georginna) Normand, Simone (Otto) Lankoff, Jackie (Gordon predeceased) Brandenburg, Clement (Judy) Normand, Dianne (Jim) Delainey; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and associates.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park.
‘For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ John 3:16.
We are comforted to know that Lucy is in her eternal home.
