It is with deepest sorrow we share that Laurine Dawn Gray (Fleming), of Spruce Grove, Alberta formerly of Swan Hills, Alberta, passed away September 20, 2022, at the age of 73; with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Russell and Margaret Fleming in Edmonton, Alberta, on March 10, 1949. Laurine is survived by her husband of 55 years, Allan; son Lindsay (Liz); daughter Heather (Les) and her beloved granddaughter Finlay.
Affectionately known as Mumma G to many who loved her. Laurine loved nothing more than spending time with her family, particularly baking with her granddaughter Finlay. She was always happy traveling down the road in her motorhome and traveling to Ireland to visit with family.
A graveside service will be held in Dewberry, time and date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Laurine may be made to an animal rescue society of donor’s choice as we all know how much Laurine loved kitties.
If I could bring you back again
for one more hour one more day
We could give you all our love
and God knows we’d have a lot to say
If we could bring you back again
we’d tell you we treasured you
and you in our lives meant more than you knew
If we could bring you back again
just to tell you what we should
we’d tell you how much we miss you
please believe if we could we would

I’m so grateful to have had Laurine in my life. Hawaii, Lea Park rodeo and the Vermilion Fair. Mostly though, I enjoyed the visits about family and old times, her amazing cooking, the laughs and her soft, squishy hugs. Sending all of my love.

Laurine & I have been friends since around grade 9. We both went difference directions since graduating in 1967. Although we never seen each other in years that never effected our friendship. I will miss your mum’s annual birthday & Christmas cards. She loved her Allan to pieces. I remember the giggles and sparkle in her eyes when they was dating. It definitely was not “puppy love”. When she shared in writing the birth of Finlay she had such joy. Known Laurine she has passed on her special ways to her family. I will never forget my friend Laurine!

Al n Laurine were one of the first couples we met in Swan Hills. She was a lady that was genuine, kind, fun to be around and a straight shooter. You never had to wonder what her thoughts were about a situation because she was very honest and blunt about how she felt. You always knew where you stood with her. She was a lady that expressed genuine interest in her friends and their families. Laurine was an amazing cook and loved to share her bounty. The one time that my sister n brother in law, Al n Laurine came to our restaurant I made them a dessert that she had never eaten before and she loved it… called me a couple of days later for my recipe….
We were very sad to hear of her passing n the following day I made that dessert in her memory….. sending our condolences to Al,Linsey n Heather n Finlay

What a woman and I’m so glad to have known her and to have spent many great times with the Gray family. Her love for her family was to be admired and the joy she brought to every occasion makes me smile! I recall many fun times, from the lake to Vegas and to many other times in between. You will be dearly missed, but know that you will be remembered fondly and celebrated at many more family get togethers. Thank you for accepting me into your family and for the great times we all shared, together. Lots of love Kate x

Our thoughts & prayers are with your family at this sad & difficult time. Laurine will always be remembered as being ‘hands on’ in showing her love to others.
Your family was there for us when we went through a very sad time when losing our dad, John. Laurine cooked & baked so much food to feed our family and we’ll never forget her. Her heart was full of love and she shared that love with so many people.
