It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken Kernested on November 1, 2023. Ken passed
away peacefully in his sleep with his loving family at his side.
His absence is deeply felt by all who knew him, especially by his children, Danna (Mark), Cody (Robyn); sister,
Christine; brother, Jim; grandchildren, Kaleb and Gage; as well as nieces and nephew and many friends.
He is predeceased by his mother, Lena and his father, Gordon Kernested.
Ken really enjoyed cruising down the road on his motorcycle, fishing and almost all sports. Ken was born and raised in Gimli, Manitoba and moved to Alberta in 1981 and eventually settled in St. Albert Alberta and continued his career in the construction field.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Ken was always smiling and sharing jokes with us both. He held a certain “spark” about himself.
We didn’t see him often, but when we did, it was always filled with smiles and a few laughs together.
Rest in peace Ken, enjoy riding that bike in the clouds.
