Ken’s absence will be felt at our house for a long time. He will be missed around the dinner table, especially for the holidays – we considered him a part of our family.
May you Rest In Peace my friend.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Ken. I worked with him for 15 years and always looked forward to seeing him every day. He was always willing to help with all of my foolish questions related to my computer at work, and on more than one occasion helped me with my personal computer.
I will miss him and know that his family will definitely have a big hole in his place. Fill it with all of the good memories you have of him.

My thoughts and prayers to all family and friends. I met Ken just over five years ago when I joined St. Albert Public Schools. We shared many stories and many laughs over the five years we knew each other. Ken will be missed by all who knew him.
Take good care.

Ken… you were a kind and loving soul. I will always remember working alongside you and your willingness to give without hesitation or reservation. In seeing you at the Long Service Awards, you were glowing with pride as many of us were for the honour of working for such a great school division. May you find peace and rest, may the next chapter of your journey shine down upon all of us. You will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family. Rest easy my friend.

Ken was my brother-in-law. Being on the other side of the planet, I didn’t get to spend nearly enough time with him, but when he visited us here in Australia I found him to be a delightful fella. We shared a keen interest in sport, and if time had allowed I think we would have been great friends. My heart goes out to Sylvia, Susan, Jamie and Nick at this time, and to all of the family and to Ken’s friends. A wonderful guy, taken far too soon x

I am truly saddened by our loss. Ken was simply “a cheery breath of fresh air.” He strived to please at all times and was such a knowledgeable man. We will miss him forever, mostly for his upbeat personality, quiet wit, and incredible technological skills. He made such an incredibly positive contribution to the lives of all adults in St. Albert Public Schools.
Sandi Tough says
My heart goes out to Ken’s family and friends for the loss of such a kind and caring young man. Ken was our “go to guy” at the district libraries. We counted on him to keep us all running smoothly, and he never failed us. We will miss his expertise and patience.
You can rest easy now, Ken. In the arms of the angels.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ken for three years. This past year, he was my rock! He was there for me at any moment, helping me through so much. I could not have made it through this transition without him and Linda. He was truly someone you could count on, someone who would take the time for you and really listen to you. I am so grateful the three of us had dinner at the end of September, talking baseball, travelling, plans for the future – his in Nova Scotia eventually, laughing and enjoying one another’s company. I will miss him deeply, think of him often, and I offer his family my most sincere thoughts and condolences.

Ken was an important person in our technical support team and in our school district. His vast amount of knowledge made him a valuable resource and his sense of humour was very much appreciated.
He was a fun and special person, and we are all saddened. We will miss him very much.

My deepest condolences to Ken’s family. He will be missed here at his second home, it is very sad knowing that I will not see him every morning, always here before me and at his desk. You are missed and will always be remembered. Be at peace. xo

Sylvia, Sue and family…deepest condolences from Janice and myself. I cannot remember a time, for more than 25 years now, that Ken was not a part of my day. Every morning a cheery greeting as I walked in the door, and never without a funny story or something to share about his life throughout the day. A kind and caring person so rare these days. 73 Ken. I will miss you dearly.
Krysta Wilson says
Ken, you will be deeply missed. You were the technical guru in our district and such a great friend to me for so many years. You were incredibly kind, giving of your time, and always just a phone call or text away for all of us that relied on you. Your patience knew no bounds and no matter the pressure you were under, you always made the time to ask others how they were doing. It meant such a great deal to me that you checked in on me consistently throughout this past year as I became a first time Mom. We were ‘on leave’ buddies together these last few months and I cherish all the chats we have had throughout the years. I hope you know how your presence touched the lives of so many of us around you. We are all better to have known you. My heart and prayers go out to your family. I know how much you looked forward to your trips to visit them. You left us too soon and will never be forgotten. Hugs my friend.

I met Ken over thirty years ago, he being a kid just out of his teens. We worked together until he moved out to the School Board and have kept in touch for the past twenty odd years.
I will remember Ken for his gentleness, loyalty, determination and his love of green onion cakes! Ken was a big man with an even bigger heart. As his friend, I will miss our get-togethers and his optimistic view of the world.
To his family, my deepest condolences. His world revolved around you.
Rest in peace, Ken.

I am very saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. I worked with him for many years at the Edmonton Trappers and always enjoyed talking baseball with Ken. When we last spoke we said he was looking forward to getting together to watch some football. I will cheer for his Dolphins next weekend and most importantly remember Ken as the kind and generous man he was.
