Our beloved Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Jocelyn Faye Walker of Whitecourt, AB, passed away on June 28, 2024 at the age of 72 with her family by her side.
Jocelyn was born on September 8, 1951 in Beausejour, Manitoba. In 1967 Jocelyn met Tom(husband) at St Joes High School in Grande Prairie, AB. Jocelyn and Tom went on to get married on December 6, 1969 and have three children, Dwayne, Scott and Jennifer.
Jocelyn and Tom raised there 3 children all over Alberta, then resided in Whitecourt shortly after Jennifer was born. Jocelyn enjoyed watching her husband and children play sports throughout the years. She spent many hours in hockey rinks, bowling alleys and at the baseball fields. She loved watching curling and attending Briers, cheering on the Oilers and Blue jays.
When she retired, she loved to walk and hang out with her puppies Murdoch and Abby, attend the senior’s center to paint and sew, with many fellow friends. She also enjoyed many camping trips with family and of course she loved her smores around the campfire.
Jocelyn will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Tom; Children, Dwayne, Scott (Jenny), Jennifer (Sean); Grandchildren, Tyler (Mercedes), Brenden, Lauren, Charlie, Kaleb, Carson; Great-Grandchildren, Delilah, Zoraya; Mother, Sarah; Siblings, Pat (Alan), Bobby (Betty), Duffy, and Herby; and numerous other family members and friends.
Jocelyn was predeceased by her brother, Murray.
A celebration of Jocelyn’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to any animal shelter/dog rescue society of your choice, as Jocelyn loved all her puppies.
