🦋 It is with great sadness and loss I announce the passing of my Mother on May 23rd, 2023. Hazel Margaret Lang (aka Knapp, Pelletier) at 89 years old, passed away suddenly in her kitchen in her home. My mother was known for her fabulous cooking and baking she shared with everyone she knew. It was no surprise her life ended in her kitchen where she made everything with love. She definitely passed on her gift of cooking. She was a strong woman, a go getter and loved to gift her family (especially wrapping her gifts, they were wrapped like they were traveling across the world with glass inside and memorable to open). She did not take any bull that was to be left in the pasture and she always spoke her mind.
My Mother is a legend for many reasons that leaves behind a very large DNA Dynasty of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She leaves behind 5 living loving children, Irene, Howard, Shirley, Theresa and Valerie. Two of her children sadly passed before her, Danny and Ann. She is missed dearly and loved by all her grandchildren, Jacquie, Chad, Jason, Jeanette, Kimberly, Ryan, Amanda, Alana, Vanessa, Gavin, Miranda and Brett; and all of her numerous great and great great grandchildren.
My mother Hazel “Vicky” Knapp was born and raised in Barrhead, Alberta . She comes from a large family, all very hard workers raised on a farm. Her parents were Rose and Martin Knapp. Her 10 siblings are Norman, Curly, Emmanuel, Wilbert, Alfred, Alvin, Howard, Raymond, Dorin and Marian. She had many nephews and nieces she enjoyed and had a very special bond with her niece Janet. 💕
My family has suffered many losses of family members in a very short time, Dorin, Ray, Howard, Marian and Ann, and now my Mother.
A celebration of life and burial for Marian, Ann and my Mother, Hazel Lang will be held in Barrhead, Alberta in the fall on 2023. My mother’s deceased husband, Herb Lang, who she loved dearly and whose remains she has kept sacred to her heart, will be buried with her. ❤️
My mother left us all with wonderful memories and family values.
Love Theresa XO🦋❤️
