In loving memory of our rambling rose, Evangeline Nelda (Lennox) Hender, who left us quickly and quietly to be with our Dad, Lewis Charles Hender, on the sunny, warm morning of August 21, 2022.
This loving, caring, strong willed, feisty, tenacious, gal was the 5th child of the 15 children born to Henry and Jacqueline Lennox on August 13, 1935, Ormiston Saskatchewan.
Naturally musically inclined and a great guitar player, she could pick up almost any instrument and ‘play by ear’ and sing along.
No strangers to travelling and residing many places near and far throughout life, Mom and Dad settled in the Cowichan Valley for nearly 25 years, but the prairies always called to their hearts.
Mom was always quick to help others, and the door was always open to anyone and everyone. ‘The more the merrier’ she always said. A lover of pets, there was also a parade of cats, dogs, birds, fish, and whatever stray might come along to stay. She emanated a natural healing aura and was a strong believer in her faith.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Sandy (Jack), Karen (Mark), Sharon, Lewis and Carolyn (Clay); and her grandchildren and great grandchildren that loved her so.
She will be reunited with her brothers and sisters that passed before her, and the ones that remain will hold and cherish her memories.
Special thanks to the staff at Allan Grey Continuing Care Centre for simply letting Eva be Eva and for providing her with manicures and all the fresh tomatoes she could eat.

Your beautiful Momma would love this wonderful tribute to her. She always said how proud she was and how she loved you all. Sis was a bright shining light in our family and we followed her around just to be in that happy Aura around her. She took a piece of our hearts with her but left us a lifetime of warm memories. Until we meet again. Love & Missy you Sis
