It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Doris Fern Jerrett, of Edmonton on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 77 years. Her passing has left a void in our hearts after a short battle with cancer.
Fern will be lovingly remembered by her family: husband, Gil of 55 years; daughter, Bettina (Robert) Yeske; and cherished granddaughter, Breanna. Fern will be dearly missed by her sister, Lona (Clare) Bildfell; brother-in-law, Eric Faye; nieces and nephews; other extended family members and many special friends.
She was predeceased by her loving sister, Doreen Faye; and her parents, Lenora and Arthur Alldred.
Fern was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who adored her granddaughter. She loved to sew, crochet, and needlepoint. Her favourite job was working with Sara Consulting as a product demonstrator where she had fun and interacted with people. She enjoyed visiting with friends, going to family gatherings, and her weekly condo coffee club and bingo games. We will never forget her sense of humour and silliness that was amplified when her sister Doreen was by her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made in Fern’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories. (306, 10430 61 Avenue, Edmonton Alberta T6H 2J3)
Our family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Bayshore Home Health for their continued care, and to the Palliative Care Team and staff at Westview Continuing Care Centre for their care and support during her final hours. Your caring and support for Fern will always be remembered.
Cremation has taken place at Capital City Cremation in Edmonton.
