It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of our beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. David Mitchell Evans “Mitch” went home to God on August 22, 2020. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his parents Arlene Evans and Dean Meier; sisters Meghan and Jenna Meier; grandparents David and Pauline Evans; grandmother Ruth Meier; aunts and uncles Casey Szmata and Craig Riegling, Sue and Wade Terrriff, Gayle and Randy Smith, Shane and Sandra Meier, Curtis Meier; cousins Chad, Madden, Bo, Brock, Tucker, Aiden, Lance, Warren, Shawny, Mac, Savanna, and Juliet. Mitch was predeceased by his beautiful cousin Morgan Szmata.
Mitch was a vibrant person with a million dollar smile and a personality that touched so many. He was blessed with an artistic talent and was often found with a set of headphones on, working on his music. He loved Graffiti, Tim Hortons Ice Caps, Hockey, Cars and BMX bikes. Most of all he loved his family and many friends. A special thank you to the many family members and friends who have reached out to our family in our time of need. “When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel that you know”
A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
Cremation has taken place at Capital City Cremation in Edmonton.

I am in complete and utter shock to read the passing of Mitch. I’ve only known him for a very short while. He was our salesman at Toyota and shortly after we became Instagram friends. I noticed he hasn’t posted anything in a while so I left him a message but I knew something wasn’t right. My absolute deepest condolences. He was a cool kid.

I’ve no words that can express the sorrow but can only offer my deepest condolences to the entire Evans family. Working on their family farm so many years ago, Mitch was one of the Evans family that helped to shape and influence where I am today…so much so that he and his grandfather (Dave) are the namesakes to our son…Mitchell. You are all in my heart. Not just saddened by your loss but also very blessed to have had each of you in my life.
