David was born November 23, 1955 in Peace River, Alberta. Passed away on October 06, 2023 in Edmonton, Alberta.
David grew up on the farm where he spent many hours helping his dad and many adventures with his brothers and sisters. David graduated from high school and left Peace River to seek his fortune. David worked in the oil field on the rigs for awhile before attending school to be a sheet metal and eventually an iron worker professional, when asked he would tell you all the pros and cons of both careers. He spent many hours with family and playing with his nieces and nephews, keeping these special times close to his heart. David’s love of riding the open roads with many friends on his bike were special times and he loved telling of the many adventures and beautiful country he had been through. Miss Vickey (Dave’s bike) was his pride and joy and they spent many hours on the road together. David will be missed immensely by his family and many friends but the memories and love will be held close to our hearts forever.
David is survived by sister, Debbie (Jerry) Winders; sister, Deanne (Colin) Jewel; brother, Jim Alexy (Brenda Mama); sister-in-law, Shelley Alexy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Helen Alexy; sister, Terri-lynn Alexy; brother, Dan Alexy; and nephews; Jordan and Michael Desfosses.
A Celebration of Life will be held later for family and friends.

A beautiful tribute to our Super Dave! So many fond memories over the years including our trip to Jamaica for Dan and Shelly’s wedding and also to Puerto Vallarta with our friends who all but one sadly have also passed away. It will be hard to go to our local pubs now and not see Dave sitting up at the bar grumbling about the world today and saying buy a round. RIP my dear friend. Until we meet again 💔💔

May Super Dave RIP! 🙏😇Condolences to the family!!
I met Dave at the XWreaks & he, along with others, I hired to work with my Dad’s company out at the Petro Canada Refinery. Our friendship grew over the year & we shared a lot of laughs, discussions & jokes.
Although we didn’t see each other much since the XWreaks moved & closed, whenever we saw each other it was like no time had passed at all.
He will be missed by so many 🥰😇
Cheers Super Dave 🍻
