David James Lloyd left us here on earth to explore the beyond, July 9th 2023
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario where he fell in love with riding his motorcycle, learning every chance he could, and living life on his terms despite other’s opinions. He was loved deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His memories will live on through his wife, Ethel, who he spent the best 29 years with full of love and laughter; 2 beautiful girls, Sky and Storm and their partners; his cherished grandson, Mathias; big sister, Patricia; big brothers, Fred and Bruce along with their spouses; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
He will be learning the wonders of the universe with his late mother, Shirley; father, Edward; step-mother, Theresa; close friends he lost too soon; and his incredible dog/best friend, Tasha.
We encourage anyone who knew him to celebrate how he would have wanted, have a beer while sharing the funny, crazy and beautiful stories of his life.

He was one of the most genuine people I knew…not that that was always a good thing 😆 lol…if ever I was searching for an honest opinion…Dave could be counted on. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried….he loved his Et, Sky and Storm…with his whole heart and soul…it was one of his greatest pleasures listening in on his “girls” as they talked and talked and talked …. a talker himself…do him proud and carry on…blessed with two loving daughters and a grandson…he had endured long search for the “ONE”…Ethel, know that you were his treasure..it was your love and acceptance that enabled him to remain forever Dave. Rest easy dear friend…I will cherish the moments “cheers” xx

Dave or “Dad” as most of me and Skys friends would call him was a kind and usually quiet man in most of our interactions. However when he had something to say it was intelligent and impactful. He was a protector, he welcomed me into his home when things were hard for me and stood up for me (literally stood up out of his chair!) When I was being talked down to and felt at my lowest.
I promise I’ll be here for your girls and I hope you find peace and joy and the biggest comfiest armchair in the afterlife.
Sky, Storm and “mum” please reach out at any time. Though its often a long time between when I’ve seen you, youve always been family. 💜❤💜

We were friends for fifty years, we had the best of times, we shared some of the worst, we argued, we fought, but through it all I knew you had my back as I had yours, even when the PA. mob was after you! Riding motorbikes through tornadoes in pitch black Virginia tells you a lot about someone. So does the last drop of whiskey! Ethel, you gave him a life to cherish more than he thought was possible for him, he loved you and your two beautiful daughters more than life itself, and I know words can’t do much right now, but from thousands of miles away, we have you in our hearts. Hold each other tight with his grandson in the middle. Only the passage of time will soften this loss, Godspeed.

My sincere condolences Ethel to you and your daughter’s. My condolences to Pat, Fred and Bruce.
I became Dave’s roommate when I was just 18, he sold me on the waterbed in his spare room. He taught me alot and it was one of the best parts of my life. He was my best man at my wedding and the momeries from Apartment 1402 should be in a book. I am so sad that I didn’t get a chance to reconnect with my big brother, and it was Dave who gave me the name CK…….Clumsy Kid. You will be greatly missed, but Pete and Muss will be happy to be with you again.
May the sunshine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall upon your fields.
And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
