The family of Daniel Rodney MacDonald of Edmonton, Alberta, is deeply saddened to announce his passing on June 12, 2023, at the age of 63 years.
He will be remembered and missed by his children, Sherri, Lacey, Corey, Morgan, and Kyla; grandchildren, Tyssen, Nicholas, Addison, Mariah, Maxwell, and April; brothers, Ralph and Clyde; sisters, Faye, Roxanna, Carla, and Sharon; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and June MacDonald; and his sisters, Belinda and Barbara.
Danny was born in Windsor, Nova Scotia on May 19th, 1960. He grew up in the Windsor area with a large family, whom he loved very much. In the late 1970’s he moved to Ontario, and in the early 80’s moved to Alberta, where he settled in Edmonton for the majority of his adult life. Danny had an infectious smile and carried a heavy heart full of love. He was an animal lover, and enjoyed being outdoors tending to his garden. He loved to pass time fishing and being near the water. Danny was charismatic, strong willed, and never missed an opportunity to make a joke or clever remark. He was a great neighbor and friend and will be missed by many.
A Memorial will be held on August 5th , 2023, in Three Mile Plains, Nova Scotia at St. Thomas Anglican Church at 2pm. Following the service there will be refreshments and food and a Celebration of Danny’s Life at his sister Roxanna’s residence in Three Mile Plains, Nova Scotia. Danny will be laid to rest with his family at Saint Croix Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in Daniel MacDonald’s name to the Edmonton Humane Society or Ronald McDonald House Charities.

I heard of Danny’s passing and I met Danny in 1987. He was a great guy. He and his friend Bonnie and his daughter Sherri were my next door neighbours. I offer my condolences to him and his family. God bless.
