Clifford passed away at the age of 84.
Clifford was born in Herbert Saskatchewan. He began his life on the farm with the family where he helped with farming.
He went to work in Ft. St John early in his life and worked for the pipeline. After a few years he moved to Edmonton and attended school at The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) where he studied and finished high school as well as studied to receive his Land survey certification in 1967. From then he worked for Hagen Surveyors around the Edmonton area until he retired. He enjoyed working in the cold.
He went many times to the Horse races, panned for gold and played the stock markets. There was also an elixir mixing of Barley and Hops and malt in his life.
Clifford will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Ruth Ginn, Esther Bergen (Doug), and Steven Schmidt (Kathy) Clifford; and will also be fondly remembered by his 22 nieces and nephews.
Clifford was predeceased by his parents, Carl Schmidt and Delia Schmidt; and his sisters, Georgia MacCarther, Edith Schmidt, and Alana Gill.
In memory of Clifford we can remember a favourite pastime of Clifford, was well read and enjoyed learning anything and everything, sometimes more than once. His father Carl issued a warning: “Paper always accepts ink, not everything is true.” So think about what your reading.
Cliff could give you the meaning of Trust about every word there was. He was gentle and well- mannered; along with generous to a fault but self-sufficient always. His enjoyment was Family Gatherings.
Cremation has taken place at Capital City Cremation in Edmonton.
