Clancy Harder, beloved husband, son, brother, father and friend, passed away suddenly on November 21st, 2022.
Clancy knew he wanted to be a soldier from the time he was in kindergarten. He enlisted as a teenager and was deployed to both Cyprus and Bosnia. He trained troops who were deploying to Afghanistan, and in fact, more than one soldier came home and credited Clancy’s training with saving their life. He truly dedicated his life to helping anyone he could help and was never happier than when he could solve a problem.
Clancy is survived by his loving wife, son, mother, in-laws, siblings and more loved ones than we can count. He was predeceased by both his biological father and adopted dad.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spread kindness out in the world. Make a difference for someone else. That was one of Clancy’s greatest gifts.

Such a beautiful tribute to Clancy! We were terribly moved in knowing Clancy was credited with training soldiers in such an incredible way that lives were saved. There are not too many people in our lives who could make that claim. And Clancy, in his low key way, wouldn’t ever have made that claim for himself. Thank goodness those whose lives were saved and changed by Clancy’s work talked about it.
For us, Clancy was a generous and loving family member. Watching the love shine from his eyes when he looked at his wife or his son said so much more than words could.
Clancy solved problems for us as well, not in big ways, but in ways that made our lives better.
Such a fine human being.
all our love and compassion for this terrible loss.
