My deepest condolences on Brian’s sudden passing. I knew him well in high school though I hadn’t seen him for more than 40 years, I remember him fondly. One winter day in the 1980s, he saw what he thought was our errant dogs running around in the parking lot at a shopping centre. He called the dog’s name, and the dog came over. The dog was cold. So Brian picked it up and carried it around 3 km to my house. He rang the doorbell, my grandmother answered… along with our dog. That’s just the kind of guy that Brian was. He would carry a stray dog 3 km to your house in the middle of winter if he thought it was yours. Rest in peace Brian.

I’m sorry to hear about this. Brian and I were good friends in high school but lost touch. I ran into him briefly in Edmonton in the mid ’90’s. I’ve often wondered about his whereabouts and was saddened when I found his obituary. He was always a good guy and I’ll remember him fondly. If anyone can contact me with more information I’d appreciate it.
