Bronwen was born in Yorkshire, UK on January 15th 1940. She died on May 21 2023. During those 83 years she lived a large life full of adventure and laughter. Bronwen and husband, Michael emigrated to Alberta, Canada in 1966 from England with three small children. Through sheer determination and hard work they managed to provide a stable and happy home life for the family.
Bronwen and Michael divorced and eventually she married Glen Macdonald and moved to the mainland of BC where she enjoyed sailing on the BC coast with Glen. Eventually she returned to St. Albert and spent the last 15 years living close to her daughter, Sarah, son in law, Thomas and grandchildren, Jade and David.
Bronwen was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Muriel Jones, nee Peckover; and father, Ivor Rees Jones. Sadly she was also predeceased by Glen; two sons, Mark David Roper and Jeremy Michael Roper; and her brother, David Jones.
Bronwen made many friends and was much loved at Chateau Mission Court where she spent happy years. She lived a good life and made a positive impact on so many people. She will be missed.
