It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on March 5, 2022 of our beloved brother Alfred Jon Whalley. His 72nd birthday was the day before.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Harold Whalley.
Jon is survived by his sister, Pamela (Richard) Kantor; their daughters, Stephana (Paul) Johnson and Lauren Kantor; as well as grandchildren, Olivia, Richard, and Andre. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Bruce) Pulsifer; their son, Bryce (Amanda) Pulsifer; as well as granddaughter, Charlotte.
We love him and we will miss him forever.
He is also survived by his large extended family; his amazing Aunty Chris Whalley and many awesome cousins.
Paul (Marianne Fedori) Gemmel, Jon’s best friend and cousin, played a large part in Jon’s life and was always there for him, helping him frequently and unconditionally.
Jon valued his long time circle of friends who always supported him.
Remembering Jon as he was – always a gentle awesome man. He was born in Regina but most of his years were spent in Alberta. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
In spite of his ongoing battle with deteriorating health, he worked as long as possible furthering his career. He enjoyed travelling and he made several trips overseas. He had great memories of wonderful trips. His main hobbies, besides time with family and friends, were fishing, camping, watching sports, travel, and golf. He loved Jasper, Maligne Lake, and his many friends there.
Jon resided at Dickinsfield, Edmonton when he passed away. We are very thankful for the wonderful staff there who looked after him for two years with great care and compassion, always keeping his family included.
We are requesting no flowers, but in lieu, please think of Jon and the good times you shared with him.
Rest In Peace, Jon, no more struggles, this you deserve.
With love always, Family and Friends.

Jon, dealt with his daily challenges, while remaining friendly and interested,
