It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert ‘Bob’ Hunter on June 28, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 54yrs, Mary; daughter, Rhonda (Casey); sister, Donna; niece, Kelley, as well as numerous other extended family, friends and colleagues. Bob was predeceased by his son, Rob; brother, Derek; and parents, Wesley and Bernice.
Bob was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and had a long career as a Broadcast Engineer. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, tinkering in his shop, and was an unwavering Saskatchewan Roughrider fan.
Bob was very grateful for the care he received at the Cross Cancer and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institutes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either of these facilities.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

To Mary and Rhonda and extended family,
I worked with Bob many years ago at CHQT. I was delighted when our paths crossed again decades later at a broadcasters function. He was a lovely man and so nice to work with. I will always remember him as being patient and kind when I was a rookie at CHQT. He also had a wonderful sense of humour. I know he was highly regarded by many colleagues as a professional and as a person. My sincere condolences.
