David Cunningham, 66, passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Quebec to Therese Roberge, grew up in New Brunswick, and spent the last 20 years in Alberta.
David collected families and loved them all. He leaves behind his wife, Allayne; son, Lucas (Bre); daughter, Bobie Jean (Nick); and grandchildren, Dominic and Ashton.
In New Brunswick, he leaves behind sisters, Debbie (Frank) and Michelle; and brother, Michael (Lena); as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-law, Luc (Tody); and many friends.
In Quebec, his mother, Therese Roberge; siblings, Joanne and Denis (Angele); 3 nieces and numerous Roberge relatives mourn his loss.
In Alberta, his sisters and brothers-in-law: Catherine (Dave), Terina, Corey (Yanet), and Chris (Cristol); as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and his dear father-in-law, Tim Falk will miss him every day.
David loved family, nature, animals, photography, and hockey. He was a great Toronto Fan. He also picked the worst movies and loved them, and if you were a friend, you were friends forever.
He was predeceased by his NB father and mother, Frank and Doris Cunningham; his beloved mother-in-law, Lorraine; his great niece, Daisy; nephew, Adam; and brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Tanya.
David’s wishes were to be cremated and lovingly left in each of his home provinces. He did not want a memorial, but he would like each of his homes to have a get together big
or small.
If you wish to make a Memorial Donation, please consider Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
We will all miss you.
Be at peace.

Losing David is sad beyond words. I don’t ever remember spending time with David when he wasn’t friendly, considerate and a Loving son in law to me and to everyone else who came into his life. David and I shared many interests in life including his Love for Nature, plants and photography. Going to miss you my friend and God willing we will meet again someday. My sincerest condolences to all of his family.
