It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Gregory Buteau Jr., resident of Fort McMurray, Alberta on April 23, 2022 at the age of 62 years.
Ron was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in numerous towns in Ontario until his parents settled in Alberta in 1972. Ron called Fort McMurray home for the past 5 years where he spent many hours fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his loved ones. Ron wore many hats in his life, a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle a grandpa and a son, his hat of career choice was the boilermaker’s lodge 146 where he worked throughout the years when his health allowed. Ron struggled throughout the years with addictions and mental health, his zest for life was taken away his passion for living became a distant memory may he finally find the peace he so desperately needed. Let us all judge a little less, love a little more, and forgive a little faster as we move forward holding his memory close.
Ron leaves to mourn his passing his children, Gregory (Kassie), Angela (William), Trish, Carley Rae, Nikki (Lee), and Joel (Michelle); mother, Pauline; siblings, Allan (Amy), Chris, and Kim; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Justin, Jessica, Levi (Jonida), Kristal, and Jesse; his beautiful grand-children, Elise, Carter, Bentley, Annika, Marlee, Noah, and Riley; and great-nephews, Ryan and Zenver.
Ron was predeceased by his father, Ronald Gregory Sr.
To honour Ron’s wishes there will not be a funeral service.
The family asks that donations be made to The Stollery Children’s Hospital in honour of Ron.
