Vern passed away peacefully on January 28,2022.Β He leaves behind his wife Tammy of 44 years; his 3 sons, Billy (Shelley Dupasquier), Chris, and Travis; 3 grandchildren, Jacey, Charlie, and Myla; and many, many friends, family, and his furry friends.
Vern said Tam, “Don’t feel sorry for me, I lived longer than I had ever expected to, I lived a full life with no regrets” He will suffer no more!
He loved his family more than anything, one of his goals in life was to take care of all of us, provide for us, and he did just that! Well done Vern!!! We will miss you so much.

There are some people who touch your life, teach you things, show you love and respect, share a smoke with you and just help you generously without wanting or needing anything in return. This was Vern for me. I really loved the last few times I spent at the farm in the shop listening to you, and yes he offered me a smoke. Such a kind sweet person. It was more about listening to his stories and wonderful, funny take on the world. I have a picture on my fridge of the last time I went to Fort Assiniboine with the “club” and some other friends.
I will always be grateful to have a tiny inclusion into Vern and Tammy’s lives. The most lovely family. I love the stories of a life well lived full of love and laughter and happy and fortunate to be there for a small part of it. You got it right my friend. Will love you forever.
Ritzi and I will miss you dearly.

I just heard of Vernβs passing today. I talked to Vern at my cousins funeral in March of 2020. I met Vern when I was a young man working at McLeods and got to know his family better over the years when I dated his sister in law. I really enjoyed the time I spent with Vern, Tammy, Bill, Chris and Travis! Please accept my sincere condolences to all the Jespersens! Vern was a special person!!
