He was a funny guy and loved to make people laugh.
Unfortunately, Robert succumbed to a nasty brain aneurysm on Friday, November 19, 2021. He was 55. Robert leaves behind his loving sons, Jake and Aaron; daughter, Ashley (Kory Long); grandchildren, Kayden and Hunter; father, William Cameron; sister, Marnie Perrier; and nieces, Kasey and Charlee Perrier and their families. Also, many loving aunts and uncles, Jack and Heather Cameron, Ruth Cameron, and many loving cousins across British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario. Robert had many friends in British Columbia and his home Edmonton, Alberta. He will see his mother, Mary Cameron on the other side.
Robert was a heavy-duty equipment operator and loved his work. He would commiserate with dad for hours on the phone about jobs and technique about how to do things the “right way”. Robert loved to fish, camp, and spend time with his son Jake. There are many fishing stories and whoppers that have been told. Robert was so proud of his son Jake. He called to tell us about how smart Jake was and what he was up to, always using the brag card for our precious Jake.
Rob grew up in Merritt and had an idyllic childhood living on the Bench, riding dirt bikes, playing street hockey, and ice hockey with his buds, Les Leduc and Darrell Pichurski. I believe there is a picture out there somewhere of Rob and Darrell hiding in garbage cans down the street, both of their heads poking out with the lid on top. There are many funny stories which we hope to share at a later date this summer, near Nicola Lake with some beers and his children to hear. Please stay tuned for that.
Robert did not always make the best choice or have the best luck, but he was a great guy and knew great love, with a massive, big heart for his friends and family.
Robert has donated organs for research and medical development.
In lieu of any flowers (my mom would have hated that) please give a homeless person a smile and a gift card for some food or clothes. Rob would be proud of that!
May he rest in peace and enjoy hanging with mom.

I would like to offer my condolence to My buddy rockin Robby’s family. He was a great friend and I miss him dearly. He was so proud of his kids . We had many great adventures together and with all his amazing ideas we would have had a lot more. I hope you are all doing well and remembering his big smile.
Sincerely
Ed Tizzard
