Colin Argylesays
Patty: I have said this to you before, but I thought that I would say it again. Joe was like a brother to me. We shared many happy and sad moments. My favourite times were sitting around the campfire sharing stories. He will be in my heart forever.
Love from Christine and I.
Dearest Patti,
Although Covid has kept us so far apart know that you’re in our hearts and thoughts every day. Joe, the love of your life, your best friend and soulmate will be greatly missed. I love the adoring way he’d look at you and call you Patoochi. There was no mistaking the love in his eyes that he had for you.
Now, let’s talk Joe..isms,
“That’s a speecy, spicy meat-a-ball”, in reference to whatever slab of meat he might be cooking up that day.
And “Boomb, bang and Bob’s your uncle”, whenever he’d accomplished some feat or other or anywhere he could use it that particular day.
And last but not least and not to offend but this our Joe who we loved to the end . What if….”If your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle “.
We will miss all of these and especially arriving out west to Joe cooking us up a feast of that great Alberta beef on the bbq.
Adios Joe Bloe from Kokomo and Godspeed,
Love,
Your crazy little sister

Sending our heartfelt sympathy to family and friends …. praying and trusting all your memories of Joe will bring you comfort during this difficult time….
Dear Joe,
This letter is to you, ’cause I never got the chance to visit much with you, even though we were only a bit over an hour apart. I guess we’ll chalk that up to “busy lives” .My sweet cousin, such a gentle soul, your smile never changed, I have a photo of grama Laurencia helping you learn how to walk, just a teeny weeny little tyke, but that smile always warmed my heart, the dimples, and the mischievous look in your eyes, stayed with you all your life. You left suddenly, and we’re all very sad, but I know you’re with the whole family, so…. that lessens the blow just a bit, you’ll always be remembered with warm hugs, and sweet memories,
your loving cousin Lorraine.
Dear Patti, we met only the one time at Dwayne & Collette’s bonfire, and it was a pleasure finally meeting you, the “one” who has my cousin Joe’s heart. My deepest condolences, I emailed videos of that evening to Christine and Colin, whenever you want I’m sure they will share,
love and hugs to you, it’s not the same as in person, but hopefully soon we will be able to gather for a proper hug.
Cousin Lorraine.
I had the upmost pleasure of with working with Joe for 3 years. I have never met a more real person and down to earth person in my life. Our friendship grew as the years went on, and i will always cherish the times at work when you would come into my office and request a classic song from the 60s or 70s, and i would play it for you. This became a daily thing, and i ended up collecting over 500 songs that i would put out onto CD’s for for his listening pleasure. I will always remember talking about hockey, life and whatever topics you happened to bring up. Our 2 hour conversations on the phone is what i will miss the most.
R.I.P my good friend. One day we will see each other again and smoke that dubbie you always wanted:)
I am shocked and saddened to learn of Joey’s passing. You see, I knew Joey through Judo. Budokai Judo Club, to be exact. Joey was the son of my Sensei, Mr. Chris Toule, one of the best and most inspirational Judoka/Sensei’s I have ever met. As did Joey, Mr. Toule left us much too early, but what an impact he made on those who had the privilege of learning judo and life lessons from him. He produced Canadian Judo Champions, Olympians and Joey. He had a profound effect on those he touched…and threw. Chris was a purist, as was Joey. You could say that Joey had judo in his DNA. Joey was a true Judo man of the highest order and a gentleman, traits he inherited from his father. At times, I would marvel at Joey’s skill and prowess on the tatami, wishing that maybe one day I could do judo like that. Joey was so talented, simply amazing! A true “waza-shi” whose name is synonymous with some of the best in Canadian judo, as was Budokai Judo Club, our dojo. For me, Budokai was judo heaven on earth. I imagine Chris, Diane and Joey are in “real” judo heaven now, and I look forward to reuniting with them one day; judogi and belt in hand.

Your husband worked for me at Encore/Convergys as my Outbound Ops Manager back from 2005-2007. He was a loyal, dedicated soldier, with a great, under-rated sense of humour. He told me the story of how he expanded his vocabulary doing crossword puzzles on public transit, as a kid. He was a great ally, back in the day.
Today, I found myself wanting to reach out to Joe, and found his obituary. He spoke to me of you, often. I hope you receive this – just to know someone in Joe’s professional life remembers him both fondly, and with pride. He was an honest, hard-working guy. He never let me down. We went thru “thick and thin” together. He will be missed.
Oh Patti – I just heard about this. I am so so sorry to hear this. Joe was one of a kind and I think of him often! He will be missed and is loved. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
OMG Patty, I just heard, I am so very sorry, he will be missed.
I am so shocked and saddened by this news I just heard today, He was a great guy loved to laugh and make other laugh worked with him a few place long time friend, please except my condolences and am sending you a great big hug.
I was sad to hear Joe Passed, we lost touch when I moved out of province. I just heard of his passing. My condolences to the family. Always hear his rough laugh and his jokes, was a pleasure to work with.
Patti,
My thoughts go out to you. I was extremely sad to hear of Joes passing. I contribute everything I learned about being a collector from him. The years we worked together. He always had a joke to tell and a story. He was one of a kind the office was never quiet. I will always remember the Christmas party the year the song came out who let the dogs out and he was singing it at the top of his lungs and getting us all to sing with him. The one thing we all knew was how much he loved his Patti. Very Sorry for your loss. I hope your great memories together help bring you smiles through the sadness. ❤️❤️
I just learned about Joe’s passing and I am so sad about this. I was just thinking about him the other day when I was interviewing a candidate. Joe was the 1st person who hired me in this crazy industry of debt collections. Thirty years later I use some of the same questions he used on me. He definitely impacted my career choice and I will always remember things he taught me, how he motivated me and of course that laugh I will never forget
Will always remember this guy.
